Every team measures something different.
Engineering counts milliseconds. Product counts activation. Sales counts pipeline. The craft underneath does not change: three outcomes, written so a stranger can tell whether you got there, checked once a week.
Green sprints, missed quarter.
- Stop being the reason the app feels slow.
- Make a deploy boring.
- Stop paging people for things we already know how to fix.
Shipped is not the same as worked.
- New teams get to value before they get bored.
- Make the second quarter the one they stay for.
- Find out whether the summary feature deserves a second quarter.
Quota tells you in week thirteen.
- Build a pipeline that does not depend on heroics.
- Win the deals we should already be winning.
- Grow the accounts we already have.
Three key results, doing three different jobs.
The vocabulary changes by team. The shape does not. An objective needs something that moves early enough to be managed, the outcome that work is for, and a counterweight, so a number hit at something else's expense cannot be reported as a clean win.
Get that shape right and the quarter becomes readable in week three. Get it wrong and you find out at the end, which is the same as not measuring at all.

Any week is week one.
Three objectives by Friday. Five minutes every Monday. A quarter your team and your board can actually read.
